eat alot of apples. They are good for your lungs. You will always have scar tissue in the lungs from smoking, however, over time, your lungs will start rejuvinating new lung cells. for a few months after smoking you will be coughing up flim and possibly dark mucus which is tar. You could get on a good cardiovascular fitness program to speed up the process...

you are already on your way, within 6 months or less you'll find an increase in activities, and without the huffing & puffy you had while smoking much better. how long it will take would determine
how long u smoked.

Good-Luck & stick with it

Bump up eating the proteins. That's what your body uses to build muscle mass and repair things. Bumping up the fats a little wouldn't hurt (for a while-don't overdo it!). That's what your body uses to maintain mucus membranes and lubricate joints.

Stick with the non-smoking. Your body will thank you for it in 35 years!

drink lots of green tea and take anti-oxidants, get some exercise. This will not be overnight, but as you continue, your lungs will clear. Any damage didn't happen over night, so it won't heal over night either.

The minute you quit smoking you started undoing the damage you had already done. Your body will cleanse itself of the toxins over time. Good for you for quitting!!!
