Why do Mexican women have so many bambino's?

In places where infant mortality is high (which is still a large swath of the world) having many children means 1) some will survive, and 2) there will be more hands to do the hard work necessary to live in harsh conditions. Remember, a lot of people lack the refrigeration, gas and electrical machinery, and industrialized infrastructure you and I have taken for granted all our lives. After a generation or so in America, baby production by immigrants drops off as the good life comes into focus. Hope this helps.

LOL! this is a funny question. Most true Mexicans don't have sex before the are married. So....... once they get married they hump like rabbits. Which in turn means they are total pregos and have baby after baby. Alot of the time Mexicans don't believe in going to the doctor unless your leg is broken much less go to the doctor for birth control. My comment may come off as rude or offensive to some people but its honest and true.

I was married to one and now dating one. Very passionate women. However the ones i have met are professional and educated and your question slants on a stereotypical level. I do understand your observations though. My theory is that poor, oppressed and / or lack of education contribute to this. On a social subconscious level the following examples are why procreation has a way of leveling the playing field:
1-Mexicans want their land back from the USA
2-Palestinian and Islamic populations are exploding to take land back from Israel and establish their power thru numbers, etc....etc.... P.S. just a theory and no offense intended

A Catholic culture is fertile ground for growing families. When I was young the women would take turns gathering all the children of the community together to go to the welfare office. Maybe it is still just another industry to survive. Next week you can pick up my kids for the day then come over for diner.

Not all latinos are Mexican. They either have strong catholic beliefs, are not educated in birth control, or have a "machista" husband who thinks he should keep his wife pregnant.

F.y.i . for the person who said they can get more checks once they cross the border. You should take advantage that you can get free education and try to understand the way welfare works. If your not a citizen you get no check.

I think they must have sex often and use hardly any contraception. The sperm of the male is ejaculated from the testes and into the vagina. Ultimately it negotiates the fallopian tubes and there fuses with the egg secreted from the female's ovary (one of two). This fertilised egg then has the chance of embedding in the lining of the uterus and there dividing exponentially until it is essentially a foetus. After full term (9 months) it will be born as a baby human being.

Most Mexicans are one catholic and two poor. The Catholic church prohibits birth control, and two when you are uneducated, the ramifications of having so many children is not really understood. It's not a bad thing, it's just cultural.
