I got the wii last month and now I'm bored with it. How many times can you play wii sports? I was so ready to buy games for the wii and unfortunately, there isn't much to choose from. I've tried Red Steel (hated it) and I'm working on Call of Duty 3 now (the controls are little weird). If you really like the wii and don't mind waiting a bit, I'd hold off on it. Perhaps you should wait till they get better and more games out there. If you're really a gamer, I'd go with PS3. Just my thought....

Your going to get answers from each person with their favorite. But, in reality, your trying to compare apples to oranges.
The Wii is not a true "Nextgen" console, because of the graphics. But, the controllers are what I'd consider the "Nextgen" part of the Wii. The price is a nice selling point too.
The PS3 is a true NextGen, with the better graphics. But, the controllers are the same thing as always, with a few tweaks here and there. A bit expensive, but, to many, worth it for the graphics.
If you have to have the best graphics, get a PS3. If you want the great motion sensitive controls, get a Wii.
