In life, we all have to deal with people who are discourteous to us, regardless of race, gender, or whatever. And of course at times we all wish we didn't have to, but it is part of life. you can ask what their problem is, but most often, it is insecurity on their part, and if you are the bigger person in these situations, you will feel honorable.

I wouldn't say its a particular race, just a particular group of girls. Unfortunately, in school, any sign of being different can be taken as a sign of weakness. The best thing is to look them straight in the eye, and don't take any sh*t. If you stand up to them, maybe you can gain their respect. Identify the "ringleader" and knock the heck out of 'em.
1. you WILL get hurt. accept it, pain is a part of life
2. you WILL get in trouble. Talk to a counselor/teacher about it beforehand. make sure it is known these kids have been picking on you for a while.
3. Do NOT have any weapons on you at the time. This will only accentuate the trouble.
4. work on a few punches, and be prepared to use them.
5. its OK to be afraid.

don't think of it as "These girls are picking on me because they're black"
but as "this is a group of girls who seem to be picking me out who just so happen to be black"
At my old senior school, the black girls did tend to 'clan' together. But if there is a minority of people, this always happens. If you and me were the only white girls in a school in Nigeria, it's natural that we'd feel we should be friends because we feel we'd have more in common. Obviously colour does not automatically mean you have similar tastes in things, but for some people, it is an automatic feeling to be drawn towards someone of similar colour/culture.
You haven't mentioned what they've actually been saying about you. Lets face it, EVERYONE gets slagged off at school. Even the popular kids. I was picked on at school, and hey, I deserved it. It was bad karma for me back chatting people! And the popular nasty girls- now and then I'd envy them, think how cool life must be for them... but they got the worst back chat of all- and all of the older students hated them. They were called b*tches by the girls and sl*gs by the boys. People being mean for no real reason is part of school life!
1) Put your paranoia aside. Maybe these girls do actually think of you as a friend and this is just some part of a silly familiarity game.
2) Is there any reason why they would pick on you? Any remotely 'different' person gets picked on. Why don't you keep your friends close by and see if these girls try their little bump thing when you have company (if they don't, or you know they don't find your friends intimidating, they are probably just being stupid and seeing you as a weak link).
3) Find one of the girls who is not as 'mean' as the others when she is on her own and talk to her. Just say, "Hi, just wondering, have I done something to upset you or your friends? Just that I barely know you and feel like you guys are p*ssed at me or something..." You never know, maybe one of them fancies a guy you've been seeing or some other catty situation like that.
Hang in there, keep your head held high. It's easy to feel that they're doing this because they're black, but don't succumb to prejudice! Chill out, be strong. If you feel threatened, why not start taking lessons in self defense or martial arts and put the word out!
And always tell a parent or friend if you feel you are being bullied.
Hope everything works out!

they're just immature. it probably doesn't really have anything to do with their race, it's most likely because of how they grew up and were raised. i'm sorry this is happening to you. i know it's really cliche and all but you just have to be the bigger person and not retaliate. are you in school? if you are and it starts getting out of hand try going to a trusted teacher, counselor, or principal. ask them to keep your identity secret if you are afraid these girls will come after you. if not, you'll just have to try and avoid them, there isn't really anything else you can do.

It's becuase they're jelous of you..and the only way they think they can break you down is by picking on you and trying to make you look or feel bad. STAY DIFFERENT be yourself its what they're jelous of. ignore them, know tht someday youre guna be a better person becuase of it..and try not to let it get to you. once you're out of school(which im assuming youre in) life will be different trust me and they'll just have average or less lifes and youll get the credit for being a good person and theyll get the payback they deserve in life.

It's happened to me too.. weird, they wouldn't put their fist where their mouth was when they weren't in a little pack. Fukken biatches. Had them running when the others wouldn't jump in.
They like to pick on the 'nice' girls.
I think you should stand your ground and never look scared. Tell them something and when they try to get aggressive just walk away and not feed it. If it gets worse you should talk to someone in charge.

Man I feel for you. It amazes me how crule people can be to each other.
I know you've probably heard this a million times, I know I did growing up, but it works, IGNORE them. They are probably jellous of you for some reason. What that is? Only they know, or they may not know.
Hang around your friends and IGNORE them.

sometimes girls can just be mean
and single out one person to be mean to
most of the time people do this
because of their own insecurities
or want to push people around like they may be by others at home or school.
