They breed better in a pond but can be bred in a large aquarium. There are web sites for both and they breed similar. Carp have to be pretty big to breed. Sexual maturity comes with size for carp. The lay eggs among floating plants -- just keep the water clean and feed them good and let nature take its course.

from what i understand they will just breed if they have enough room
