Agree all the way. Owens is a good pick as well. Shes' not only a qualified originalist, but what makes a liberal cry more tha n ANY African-American conservative?

U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor would be a much better choice...please click on this site.
If you really favor Judges that will interpet the constitution over party dogma.

No, I don't think so. I have heard nothing about Kennedy retiring.
And one would think Stevens would retire first....isn't he older? I believe he has been in since Ford.
Edit: But if that's the case...I think a woman would be a wise choice.

Owens would make a great pick.
But, no way.
Democrats have already promised to ruin her, if Bush picks her.

Sure, he may be able to appoint one, but he won't get one confirmed. Reid will cripple the court system before he'll allow a Bush nominee to be confirmed. Take it to the bank.

Why does it matter what color she is? I'd rather have a person intimately familiar with the law, regardless of his or her color (i.e., John Roberts).
