Native Americans had established tribes, family and community bonds that were harder to break. Native Americans fought back because they were concentrated in larger groups.

Africans had their spirits broken when they were forced apart from their families and made to endure long ship rides to this country. They had no bonds and couldn't easily rise against the white man because they were so divided.

There are a few reasons. First, many Native Americans were not farmers. They were familiar with the land, it was their home and their family/tribe was near. They had reasons to escape from captiivity and places to hide and people willing to help them.

On the Other hand, Africans were already farmers they had that skill. They did not speak the language, know the land, or have a place to escape to. They were immune to many of the white man's diseases. Lastly, there was a steady supply of people because tribal warfare involved the taking of captives. These were often then sold to white traders. Therefore they were a natural choice for forced labor.

Who would be better to dehumanize then people you kidnapped and took far away from their original home with no way to get back and didn't know this new land? The native peoples on the other hand could just always try to get away and get back home.

My guess is the fact that they were slaves and could treat them however they liked. Sorry, it's only one answer, but maybe it'll spark some further thought.
