Help me figure out what this dream means!?

I had a dream last night that has been bothering me all day. I dreamt that I was at a theatre, and my ex and his new girlfriend were in the play that me and a blond guy went to see. I don't recall what the play was about, but at curtain call, when the cast of the play came out to bow, my ex looked right at me and I glared at him, and snuggled up to whoever the guy I was with. I recall noticing that my ex was wearing a LOT of makeup, and his new girlfriend looked thinner (shes quite a big girl). Niether My ex or his new flame are theatre kind of people (we went to see "footloose" and he fell asleep!) I am not dating anyone right now, but I remember feeling very affectionate with the man I was with, even though I don't know who he was. This dream has me really confused. HELP!!!!!

No one can tell you what things mean in *your* dreams without knowing what each thing means to *you*. Dreams are what we experience while the brain processes various thought, events, etc during sleep. We can't say, "Oh, dreaming of fish means someone's having a baby" because you have no idea what fish means to the person. If I'm allergic to fish in real life, the dream meaning of the fish is different than from the person who absolutely loves fish.
You have to think about how "you" feel about your ex. And even that might not help since sometimes the brain symbolizes thoughts with unexpected things! The best advice I have is to read about "lucid dreaming." This is being awake while you're asleep. It's very easy to do (with practice) but you'll be able to recognize what you're dreaming about and what thoughts to which they are connected.
Dreams are not understood, because most people can't think rationally during a dream. By lucid dreaming, you'll be able to. For instance, a personal anecdote, I was thinking about exercising and improving my health when I began a new program. The dream manifested itself as a rhino running on an uncompleted highway. I was the rhino (determined, strong) running (exercising/going forward/making progress) on a new highway (program).
Look up "lucid dreaming" and really do the exercises if you want to discover how your brain interprets thoughts. It's really easy and fun.

i'm sorry if i'm a bit rude here, but it seems to me that you're being plauged by the green eyed monster... i mean, seriously, making it a point to tell everyone that your ex's new girlfriend is "a big girl"... you might as well have told us all she was fat, ugly, stupid and slut... it's clear, like someone else pointed out in another reply, that you still have issues with your ex, especially since you snuggled up to this mystery guy to make him jealous... you might want to ask yourself why you feel you need to do that... what is it that's most bothering you?...
oh and i just want to comment on that whole "someone you're going to meet soon" theory... i disagree... i do think you'll meet someone eventually... but you have to learn to let go of the past (meaning your ex and whatever it is that happened), and learn to forgive... and remember... if you love yourself, others will be attracted towards your light... like attracts like... love yourself and others will love you too..
