Nope. And if someone builds on you land, how are you going to know and then enforce it?

Today? Sure. Who's going to contest your claim? It's as valid as when Seward purchased Alaska from Russia.

Actually, I think it just feels better if you pay someone else to print up a certificate rather than design and print your own. If, sometime in the future, people do populate the Moon, that certificate won't help you or your descendants.

And, for that matter, the Supreme Court decided that purchasing Alaska from Russia couldn't be considered a valid transaction. Russia didn't actually own Alaska - they just visited a couple of islands in Alaska. The native residents of Alaska would have probably been extremely upset if anyone had bothered to tell them that their land had been sold by people they'd never seen. The US had to repurchase Alaska from its native residents in 1971 (the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act).

Moonestates.com does not own any land on the Moon, so you would have no legal claim to any land just because you paid money to them. If someone else builds a Moon base on the land you bought, you would have no legal right to make them remove it or collect rent.

I don't think that you can buy a space on the moon now, but maybe in the future you could. Nobody "owns" the moon right now.

No..it is not legally binding. Claim and counter claim have no precedent so although a seller can claim right to sell, they cannot prove it or validate it. Estate agents would say it is a grey area...realists would say it is bollocks.

Yup my real estate business on mercury is sold out. All my punters have to do is get there! Save your £20, all you get is a certificate, costing company 50 pence.

Nobody can sell you land if they don't own the title to it, so no, it isn't legally binding.

But cheer up. I have a bridge in Brooklyn you might be interested in.

Nope. Nobody owns it. Kind of like buying and naming a star. If you believe you can then I have some beach property in Arizona you might be interested in.

Nobody owns the moon so they have no right to sell parts of it off.
