No different. Usually someone that takes a stand is branded unpopular. Clinton, for example, stood for everything that is destructive to society, and spent all his time trying to please the public. In the process, nothing got accomplished during his presidency. President Bush has taken a stand against global terrorism and is actively pursuing that objective, with little regard for what people thing, since he is doing what he believes is right.
A president that governs by polls is a lame duck.

Same as I did before. This administration's Iraq policy is astoundingly, spectacularly ignorant and half-@ssed. Now I know that at least 7 out of every 10 people I meet will agree with me on that issue.

The same way I felt when Nixon disgraced the Presidency by authorizing the Watergate break in when he was going to win the election anyway. Tired and sad for our country, and fearful for the lives of our children.

I feel just awful!!! Why, all those people out there are unhappy with the president, what a shame. I think I should go out and slash my wrists now. And I was feeling so good about stuff before your question.

I feel Pressident Bush has lost touch with the people. There's enough wars to fight within this country, health care, prescription drug costs, poverty, and high taxes. Instead of wasting all these resources on Iraq, we should be trying to solve the woes of this country.

Real Presidents, like Bush, don't pay any attention to polls & approval ratings.
Bush is too busy doing what is best for the country.

The population has awaken and realized that Bush=Failure. Hopefully he learns from this, too. It looks like he won't, based on his "Surge" plan.

He is still the President. Despite public opinion. Where do they give these polls anyways? I've never seen one conducted.
