Depending on the sellers method of payment.
Most use paypal, you would need to create an account.

Its the most popular method of payment on ebay but not exactly the safest (unlike what many think)

No. But if you have an ATM card, that means you have a checking account, and you can use that to set up a PayPal account. The links are on ebay. PayPal will take money from your checking account and transfer that money to sellers. Most sellers prefer buyers to pay with PayPal. Some also accept credit card payments.

Only if your atm is a credit card as well, your best bet is to just use paypal.

yes, some sellers require paypal. There at paypal, you just use your ATM card there to pay for the item.

No.
But you can set up a Paypal account using your bank account as the source of the money. Takes afew days but you can pay securely online and you get insurance thrown in.

Just like at any store you can't use your ATM card. It needs to have likea VISA symbol to use. Cause if not it is just a card you can withdraw money or deposit.

1st, I believe you may have to go through an online payment service to do so. Check, and be sure they're reputable, if so. 2nd, some banks have begun extending the online payments they allow their customers to make, using them, including some private transactions. Check w/ your bank to see if you can, and how. 3rd, and lastly, make sure that whatever route you choose, you are not divulging your account information to some individual online. W/ businesses, you may have to, to some extent, but again, check with your bank, or consider opening an account w/ a bank who does offer extended online bill pay services (at no additional charge to you), to switch your account to, or open an additional one, with.
I hope that helps.
