Yes. Vegetables are very healthy. They wouldn't kill anybody. If a dragon spit vegetables at me, I think it would only satisfy a craving for a healthy snack. Maybe help me loose weight and increase my energy. A dragon that did that, would be COOL!

It's not a bad idea as such. Sure, there are better ideas but as ideas go it's reasonable. You have to think how practical it all is; first of all where does it get the vegetables from. Does it have to hang around allotments and green grocers just to keep a supply of amunition at hand or would it have some kind of pouch to keep them in?

it just doesn't make sense.
the idea behind dragons breathing fire is that they have some kind of fuel-bladder in their throats, (kind of like a snake's venom-bladder), along with a stony growth that creates a spark.
how would vegetables come out of a dragon's throat, and how would that hurt people? i mean, i guess a head of lettuce could kill you if it was travelling at 100 mph+, but still.
