Because it is easier to make bold pointless and baseless accusations and comparisons than actually debate an issue.

Liberals (Not all of them naturally) have this notion that the only thing keeping us from living in peace is the Military (see Clinton's tenure as president). If some how they can eliminate the military, remove the need for one, make it look like the military is a failure then maybe world peace will break out.

If they want to make historical comparisons they should turn the pages back a little ways to the years 1920-1939. i think that's a better way to understand what happens when you think world peace is around the corner and it can be achieved by talking.

vietnam wouldn't have happened if we had followed the advice we gave the french at the end of WW2. there is no real comparison between vietnam and iraq. more have been killed in the iraq than the first 5 years of vietnam. the reasons for going were different. we didn't start vietnam. who exactly in iraq will commit the genocide? there is a civil war in iraq, the only thing that will change if we leave may bethe outcome. don't worry though,we aren't leaving anytime soon. BTW. try putting the word some in front of lib.

I think that a lot of these people were the same ones protesting our efforts and military during the Vietnam era. They realize that Vietnam was unpopular and are playing on those fears. Yes, the Vietnamese paid the price as will the people of Iraq, if we do a pullout now. The consequences are frightening. I really believe that there are those who place more value on proving President Bush wrong than on anything else, sad to say. The hate is what compels them everyday.

A complete pullout from Iraq now would result in massacres and very possibly genocide. History shows us this

There are people in our own country that want us to lose in Iraq, and lose to the terrorists.

Then they'd just have another reason to hate Bush.

because if we wn, that would mean republicans might stay in the house for 4 more years, and they will do ANYTHING to make sure that doesn't happen.
