I'm pretty sure all I have to do is plug it in the USB slot but I wanted to check. And if i'm right about the USB slot, i wanted to know if the controller will charge if the system isn't on.

i read somewere that the PS3 has to be on to charge them.
Yea the USB slot should work.

they in effortless words thanks to fee the PS3 controller is in effortless words at the same time as the PS3 is on...... at the same time as on standby the PS3 does not provide off any skill..... accordingly u cant fee the PS3 controller at the same time as on standby
