No an ipod nano cannot play movies regardless of the harddrive size. Apple did not create this device with the technology to play movies. If you are interested in movies and music you will need to purchase video ipod.

Unfortunately, Ipod nanos do not play videos of any kind. if you would like an ipod like this i would suggest that u buy the video ipod.

that i no of that is only possible on the ipod video
it is kind of confusing b/c there is a playlist on the nano called music videos but no this is not possible.
