Both the ram are same company, both are DDR and both are 400 mhz.

Ok both ram are from TwinMoss both are same speed and latncy of 1 is 3 and the other is 2.5 but when i put them on the slot my pc wont start . i am using a K7N2 delta AMD mother board ...MSI company ..i checked their web site ...but no information .....i wanna know about Bios any fiture there to check RAM or in any perticular order do i have to fix the RAM ..manual has no such info ..pls help...??

Sure you can, but it won't run in dual channel mode.

yes but you should have 2 ddr ram slot

u can use them both
But u have to be aware that ur system will see and deal only with ur 1 GB ram BUT if its ned more it will use the extra one (512)

Sure you can run both but if one is a slower speed they will both run at that same low speed

if they both have all the same specs. other than size yes you can use both however having a matched set is considered the ideal

As long as your motherboard supports that much RAM, you should be fine.

first specificy who is the supplier of your ram.
then what model it is.
and its a 50/50 toss up
