When I ask him he says he does, but how can I ever really know for sure?

hiya your boyfriend says he loves you so im sure he does, men dont always show their feelings like we would and whereas us girlies might say we love you 20 times a day, they might only say it once and it doesnt mean they love you any less. you can only go by what your boyfriend is telling you so next time he says he loves you believe him and enjoy the moment, im a strong believer in what will be will be so try to stop stressing and enjoy your relationship, :0)

Use SIGNALS from him to find out how he feels. Actions speak louder than words. Asking a man if he's interested in you in a romantic way will actually DESTROY the chances that his attraction and interest in you will grow. Take it one day at a time. Good luck to you!

quite simply you have to trust your own judgement....if you feel in your heart that he does then believe it when he says he does.... unfrotunately it is not a science, relationships would be so much easier if it was..... wouldnt life be boring tho....
