I started reading this book the other day but it wasn't mine so i had to give it back and now i can't remember the title of it. It had a hand and an apple on the cover though. I know it was about a girl who was new to this school and this one guy really seemed to hate her. Does anyone know what book this is?

Sounds like it's: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It's a pretty good book, although not my favorite.
