This was on a radio show as a puzzler. They say that almost all makes and models sold in any country will use the standard system for this part???????

This is a guess mind you. I would say Headlight brightness, i.e. wattage. Either that or voltage or amps...something electrical.

Shoot, Yeah it is wheels sizes. I completely forgot about that. I even noticed it in Singapore and Hong Kong when I was in the Navy. I can't believe I didn't remember that!

In my experience wheel sizes are usually in inches regardless of where in world you are. When I was in the UK, France and Australia, wheels were always (at least in common transportation cars) in inches.
