I have a 9 month old daughter and I'm still exclusively breastfeeding.
My "regular" cycle came back around 5 or 6 months ago with very heavy and light periods. But 10 days after my last period stopped I started spotting. Is this normal?
I'm also feeling restless and anxious before my menses comes back. The thyroid test was ok.

My doctor can't see me this week and I'm concerned what this spotting could mean. Baby eats well. No birth control.

BC's will help to regulate your menses. Having a baby does a lot to a woman's body and it takes a very long time for her to "get back to normal". Regardless, keep your appt with your doc and discuss it with him/her. Your hormones may be out of whack. Good luck.

You should check to make sure you're not pregnant first. You're body is very fertile right now. If this is negative, I would wait it out. For 9 months your body went through alot of stress and changes, so it will take sometimes up to a year for your body to revert back to normal. Breast feeding will sometimes also mess up your hormonal balances therefore messing up your normal cycle
