Ya, I used to cry and not want to go to bed because I thot about it and didn't want to die. I'm kind of thinking it might have been a way for me stay up longer because my mom would take time to calm me down, but it turned into a real fear and I'd panic.

I remember vividly the time I was watching TV with my mom when I was 8 years old, and there was some mention of someone dying. I asked my mother what happens when you die, and she said, "Nothing happens. You stop breathing, seeing, hearing, thinking. Everything stops and you are never alive again." I was so afraid to go to sleep, I stayed up all night, terrified that I would stop "being". I couldn't wrap my brain around it. Something inside of me completely rebelled at the thought of death. I think as we get older, we come to accept death as the inevitable conclusion of life, but I never really accepted it that way. The concept of reincarnation removed the terror of death for me, and allowed me to seriously search out new resources other than the ones I was indoctrinated to.

I think most kids have fear of death. My middle daughter had a terrible fear of a fire, she would wake up every night in a panic and hysterics. This went on from about the time she was 4, ntil she was about 9. We were able to finally resolve with a past life regression. She was able to re-live that experience in a safe environment, and explain to her that she died in a fire in another life. That life was over, and she did not need to fear it now. I know that sounds hookey, but it really worked. After the regression, she never woke up again in the night crying or hysterical about fires. In fact, I don't remember her waking up in the night after that for anything upsetting again.

I've never been scared of death per-say, I spent most of my childhood in the hospital. I was very accident prone, I grew out of it at about 13 and have never been in the hospital since.

I think that most people do at one time or another. It's just part of facing our mortality.
