I usually order vodka and cranberry with lime. I want to order something that looks like a cocktail so not to stick out like a "non-drinker" in front of co-workers that also tastes decent.

why do you have to act tough? Just drink Perrier water with a slice of lime and tell your friends you are on medication.

Odouls or any other type of non-alcoholic beer. has the taste of beer but no alcohol. Just offer to be the DD. for the night if they notice, but everyone knows that odouls is a non-alcoholic beer so ask the bartender to pour it in a glass for you and no one will know the difference. All bars carry some kind of non alcoholic beer. But if you really want a drink that looks like a cocktail then order a baybreeze (it has cranberry and pinapple juice and usually vodka or rum mixed in, just tell the bartender to omit the alcohol in it all night). I would go with the odouls if your a guy fruity drinks are usually chic drinks anyway, sorry.

Soda water, tonic and sprite. Those could pass for alcoholic drinks. Cranberry and tonic, too. I've served those and they could pass for alcohol. But who cares if you don't drink??! If the people you're hanging out with will give you a hard time because you drink, you need to worry more about finding new friends than a non alcoholic drink that looks like alcohol.

Why do you have to pretend anything? Have a nice refreshing pineapple juice with ice. Nice and sweet, yummy.

At one time I used to carry a glass of Coke with a cherry in it at my father-in-law's parties just so he wouldn't keep asking me what I was having to drink. Finally I decided I didn't have to drink, didn't have to pretend, and it was none of his business. He invited me to the party, but he wasn't my boss. I don't owe anybody explanations if I don't want to drink. And why do people always assume you're a recovering alcoholic if you just don't like alcohol? LOL! My mother wasn't a drinker either, and my daddy only had one highball if he was at a wedding reception, and once-in-a-while a beer at home.

Why do people like to push alcohol?

Sparkiling water with lime cordial is really refreshing. Having gone through five (on my sixth) pregnancies completely alcohol free I can assure you it gives you that extra kick and keeps the alcohol cravings at bay.

Tonic w/ a twist of lime is my fave! I have a weakness for gin, but I can't really drink b/c of the meds I take. SO I order tonic and lime, and that is really refreshing.

You can get virgin margaritas and daquiris. Or just the cranberry with lime. Vodka is colorless so no one would know the difference.

Do they still serve Shirley Temples ? If so, go for that. Or just a coke as it looks like a rum and coke. or what about just plain cranberry juice ?
