I know it seems now that everything is being done through email, but which is better and preferred? Email or regular mail? And if I was planning to send it through email, should I send the cover letter as the email itself and just attach my resume?

I can tell you that the military at this time still wants all applications for jobs put in in paper form so Snail mail. I do however know that most corporations do prefer email because it is so much easier. I am pretty sure you will be fine either way as long as you are a worthy applicant.

Send a cover letter and dont be careless on it. Email is informal in reputation because the Internet was a toy for so long. Now its not. Well it is, but its like the plastic hammer but we do construction with it. That was a joke.

I would go with email over snail mail because other people will be using it. Hiring managers make decisions based on the resumes they see. By the time they get yours, they may already have read 50 resumes and not want to see any more.

Stay away from weird fonts. For Gods sake, dont use incredimail or any smiley faces (unless you are going for a clown job).

if you have the chance to bring your resume personally that would be better. the company would give much priority on those delivered right at their offices. not through email and snail mail. snail mail would take a few days and they might have gotten a new applicant before your letter reaches them and for emails, the barrage of mails one their account would only put your email unnoticed and at the least of their emails.

goodluck and hope you'll land a good job later on.

Resume's can be sent either way, and some employers prefer e-mail now. If you do it that way, expirament by sending it to yourself first to see how it looks.

When you send it to them, make sure it's a Word document, not another format.

It is best to go with the method the place of employment requests.

Always include a cover letter.
