As others have alluded to, this depends upon one's interpretation of the Bible. The best evidence we have today indicates a universe that is around 14 billion years old, much older than the young earth people believe. Thing is, the Bible doesn't necessarily say the earth is that young, though the allusion is ambiguous enough that a young earth is one interpretation. As for other geological events, like the Great Flood of Noah's time, there is significant evidence that a major flood happened in that region of the world around the estimated lifetime of Noah.
Other events, including many astronomical "miracles," are harder to prove or disprove. Some can be explained naturally, but some cannot be proved or disproved. For instance, the plague of darkness in Egypt (as explained in Exodus 10) lasted three days. This would leave no geological record, so we cannot discuss it geologically. While we currently know of no natural process that would bring darkness to the earth for three days, if this event truly was a miracle, how can we refute that?
To the best of my knowledge, "scientific" phenomena in the Bible can either be verified by geologic records or simply cannot be verified or denied by any modern means.

Not if you're a Fundamentalist.
Fundamentalists see the Bible literally. What they forget is that the Bible writers often used symbolism to convey important concepts. For example, the early Christians, who wrote the New Testament, would use symbolism that other believers would understand but would be foreign to the Romans who would persecute them for their faith. Also, Fundamentalists forget that the Bible has been subject to many translations and interpretations over time. All this means that the Bible can't be used literally. So the creation story is more philosophical and spiritual in nature rather than an accurate account of how the universe was created. Time concepts would be relative, and who is to say that evolution couldn't be the process that God used for creation to take place?
If you look at the Bible as being about faith, spirituality, and philosophy, and not about concepts that can be tested scientifically, you can see the Bible and modern science as being able to coexist. There are modern scientists who practice religion. They can separate their faith and their work and do it successfully.

No it isn't .Young earthers (people who believe the earth is 4 thousand years old or there about) have a few problems with their beliefs. For example they claim that the continents drifted at kilometers per hour rather that the current centimeters per year. Also they claim that coral developed 40,000 times faster than its current rate, that oceans evaporated at 4 meters per day to form salt beds, that ocean floor sediments formed at 80 million times their current rate and so on.
So no modern day science isn't compatible with the bible.

If you take it literally, no. But the Bible is not meant to be taken literally, so if you did that you wouldn't be understanding it properly. The Bible does not contain anything that attempts to refute scientific facts. The creation stories are not meant to be taken as scientific facts - they are simply storied made to help people back then understand the vast concept of one God. There is absolutely nothing in it that refutes or attempts to refute science.

The Bible is just a story and should does not contain any Scientific information. Some historical events described in the bible maybe accurate, but thats about it. Everything else is just a Fictional Story.
If you are looking for an answer don't look for it in the bible, you will just confuse yourself.

yes. even right from the roman epire that a philosopher was executed for claiming that the earth was not square but round, which was later found to be written in the bible. open your heart man and study the word of God more and differentiate the spiritual from the physical as the physical is largely dependent on the spiritual. don't be confused anyway.

I think the fact that the Bible says something about time to God is like a blink of the eye may allow for the years of evolution

It depends. If you take it literally, definitely not. If you take it as an allegory, they can fit in spots.
