Some say you give it to get it, I really don't think so people call that a sucker. I think that you have to take. By being confident, knowing that you deserve the best and will not settle for less than that.

Stand by your word or promises. Be there when you said you would, whether it's a PTA meeting or a friend's mother died in another state. Be there! Show respect for yourself and don't allow anyone to disrespect you without mentioning it to them. Show respect for your beliefs, whatever they may be. Make them important to you and let them be known to your family and friends. And last, respect every person no matter who or what they are. You don't know how they came, or fell, as far as they did.
Respect doesn't have to wear a serious or stern face, but it has to mean something to you. It has to hold itself to a standard and try never to fail. Good Question. Good Luck!! @8=)

You have to be the change. You have to look at every single person in your life who you have admired, respected, and try to find out what makes them so amazing. Try to take on what they do. By embodying your own definition of respectable behavior, you become respected by those same people.

By showing it to other people. Giving respect to people that are not always respectful to you. People think that when people are rude or disrespectful they should return this in kind. However this just perpetuates the situation instead of alleviating it. Plus you are showing the other person a better way to act and react in a situation.

I will not wavier in my beliefs and am stable. I am punctual and considerate of others. I value others and their opinions, and never talk down to them. Doing what is right is more important even when no one is looking.
