Only serious answers please. I know their are millions of snide remarks people can make, but I would like to hear from intelligent, honest people who really think about this.

If the man only used the term when the couple was alone together what is your take on it? Is there anything wrong with "babying" your man ( not in diapers) when you are by yourselves?

To the people below who think this was coming from a mean place or I am too concerned with what other people think are quite funny to me. I was actually just curious what other people did and how they feel. Isn't that what this forum is for? Please relax.

To be called "Mama" or "Mommy" by your boyfriend/husband should be viewed as a compliment. The woman is usually considered the partner who nurtures the relationship and a man who uses such terminology is merely recognizing this truth. For those who have children together, it becomes natural for a husband to call "Mommy" what his children call her. It is a term of endearment in most cases that recognizes that a man leaves his own mother and now you are the primary caretaker of his existence. Wrong...to "baby" your man? No Way! You have hit upon THE secret to a wonderful relationship. A woman will get back that which she gives.

Good question. Especially since I am often called Mama at home by my husband and I in turn call him daddy. It started with the sex. I am not being funny or snide. Sexy daddy, foxy mama etc. We did this before the kids came and it was an at home only thing, but now we have kids and somewhere along the years we dropped the Sexy and Foxy and just call each other mama and daddy.

My husband calls me mommy & in return I call him Papi! I don't think there is anything wrong with it! If you want to keep that behind closed doors... so be it! But I don't think theres anything wrong with saying it someplace else either!... really, what's the difference between people calling their mate... Honey, Sweetie or Mommy & Daddy.. Mamma & Papa?... do what you want with your spouse, why does it matter what other people think?

They have a strong sex drive. They want to have sex with their mommies at a some point. Mommy is a sexy term and turns men on when they use it towards their own wife.

I only used the term "momma" if my children were in the room. That is what they call her, so I work with that in their presence.

When we are alone, I call her by name. She does the same, it's not a pet name, it's just what we say in front of the children, so that THEY don't use our first names to address us.

Its just a cute way of talking and means nothing. Gosh, why let this get you all in a tiff. My goodness life is hard as it is and this is meant as compliment. so take it that way and quit being mean.
