Cool. I married my husband last year, and I'm 43 and he's 37! You are NOT too old if you are still ovulating, and in good health. First see your ob/gyn and have him give you a thorough exam. Be sure that your blood pressure, thyroid, etc. is all checked and any problems are dealt with. Then start trying! I did get pregnant last fall, but miscarried at about 7 weeks (it's not unusual for women our age to miscarry slightly more often than younger women). It looks like we might be pregnant again and hopefully all will go well this time around! Good luck!

If you can be pregnant or if you have infertility problems I reccomend to follow this method http://pregnancy.toptips.org
Many factors can cause a couple trouble in conceiving a baby, I'll list a few of the most common ones in women:
Anorexia or other dietary dysfunctions
Lacking amounts of FSH and LH are produced, so ovaries aren't as functional as they could be, and so not many eggs are produced
Stress, causing periods to become irregular
Medications such as cancer treatments, antidepressants, hormone therapy, pain killers, and antipsychotic drugs can all cause temporary infertility.
With the method that I posted above you will be able to get pregnant!

You have an 18 yr old son who has a 14 yr old child? Most men start puberty around 11 not 4! But yh 43 fine for babies... My mum had me at 41 and no problems (except i was two weeks earlier) ... higher risk of disability tho .... why don't you adopt? Adopting is nice as you take a child out of care (and potentially a future of abuse and prison), if you take an older one tehn you misss all the crying!

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

I don't think 43 is too old. If I was able to have more children I would. You are only as old as you feel. If it feels right for you then go for it. Good Luck.

My mom had my brother when she was 40--yes, you are considered a high risk pregnancy but I don't think 43 is too "old" to have children. I say go for it and good luck!!

As long as you are healthy and up to another pregnancy, by all means, go for it. Do know that the chances of conceiving a child with Downs Syndrome or other genetic abnormalities will be higher for you than for younger mothers, and your OB will almost certainly consider yours a high-risk pregnancy - which means they'll push for more testing and closer observation. I highly recommend learning all that you can about pregnancy at your age to be sure that you know what to expect, what you have the right to avoid, etc.
Best of luck to you!

Well now, ther have been succesful pregnacies and births achieved by women even at 60 . Not a good thing for the child as their mother will be sort of short lived and look more like her grandma than her mum.In your case the child will be 20 when you are 60 or so and that is ok some women at 60 are still young looking and by then the 20yo will be relatively independent. Go for it!

Abraham's wife Sarah was 100 years old when she gave birth to her only son Isaac. At 43, what makes you think you're old?..
My grand-father is 79, his wife 27, and their kid will be 5 in April.
So it's more of a personal choice really. Best wishes.

Oldest woman to give birth is 63... if you want to have a baby, have a baby. You might need help though, remember you are born with all the eggs you are ever going to have and they say by the age of 35 your eggs are already considered "old".
