I for one can honestly say it has... I didn't vote in the first presidential election.. I was young.. it was my first chance to vote in a presidential election and I didn't really care for politics at that time... a mistake I will never make again.. so at least some good has come from this administration if it has inspired others the same way it has me.

I guess you are proof that Bush has done something good for the USA.

As a Canadian, I have always taken a keen interest in American politics (far more colourful than our own...) I find the presidential debates fascinating.

I do believe that more Americans - young Americans - are becoming aware of the political game as a result of Bush...simply because you can't turn on a tv, read a newspaper or go online without seeing something about Bush...good or bad. While I think that, often, there is an over saturation, the publicity of the ugliness has piqued the curiosity of those who were only ever interested in Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears. Not such a bad thing....

Yes, because of all the extreme press attention it got and because most of the issues being debated were so polarizing by their nature that I knew both elections Bush won would be close ones and so therefore my vote would count even more than it would have in previous elections (even though the 2000 election was the 1st one I could vote for anyway).

He did actually. I got very interested when I first saw him on TV and they were talking about him trying to get the Republican nomination. It was the first election I was eligible to vote in.
I never thought too much about it before that.

Not really. I've always been interested in politics. I remember actually watching the Carter-Regan debates. I was 5.

Actually is Carter that inspired me. His failures pushed me to the right. I highy commend our younger generations involvement in politics and government, no matter your political affiliation. Our young people are our future.

I have always been interested, but since Bush, I have become more vocal, about it. I speak out more and urge, others to get involved.

In 1939 nazi Germany invaded Poland under false pretenses; Bush has done the same. Get involved. Get Bush out.

Nope, my study of History has. Especially seeing (and hearing from Veterans) the way Liberals treated our soldiers in Vietnam in the 70s.
