Last Easter I had dealings with a company called Communications Direct, or Direct Communications, I forget which. I ordered a mobile phone from them on approval, but the phone was stolen from the delivery van before I received it. When it failed to arrive they said it must have done because it was being used. I perservered and eventually they told me about the theft.

In the meantime, I received a bill from 3, the network provider, for over £300 phone usage in 1 month. I then explained to 3 that I would not be paying the bill, as I had never had the phone in my possession and to contact Direct Communications. 3 insisted it was my responsibility, as the bill was in my name.

I contacted Direct Communications repeatedly, only to be told that they were waiting for information from their insurers and to not cancel the phone contract or do anything to affect its usage until things were sorted with the insurers. I explained that this was of no use to me, as I was being billed for use of the phone. Direct Communications said I should pay the bill and settle up with them later when they had dealt with the insurance company. Needless to say I refused to do this. When 3 threated to disconnect the phone for non-payment, I said "Please do, I want the phone blocked anyway".

After months of phone calls between myself, 3 and Direct Communications, the account was settled and I had no money to pay, other than the expense of the phone calls to Direct Communications, which I was never refunded.

However since then, I have discovered that the insurance for the phone was still being debited from my bank account, even though I had cancelled the bank account and moved to a different bank.

In short, this company are as useful as a chocolate teapot and I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole! Your choice of course, but you've been warned!

you're able to ought to pay the month-to-month line condo x 10 months left of your settlement. you ought to in basic terms end paying it yet thats no longer a sturdy thought. i could think of of ringing them and asserting your moving usa or something. yet once you danger getting in basic terms a sprint temporary a undesirable credit then dont pay it they gets a debt collecter and that they supply you 25% off the debt, then optimistically by applying the time you get the 25% supply you have a job. then you definately pay it in finished or artwork a month-to-month fee factor with them, as quickly as youve paid that your credit would be greater beneficial returned. you're able to additionally like somebody else stated tell them you moved abode (supply them an previous adress you used to stay, or the handle of an empty abode) and take out the sim (i additionally completed this at present) and don't pay it. Youll get blacklisted for 3 years however. sturdy good fortune!

They are terrible to deal with. Remind them that all calls are recorded and ask for the full name of the sales rep. then tell them to take a record that you are not interested in buying any of their products. If all else fails... tell them you are reporting them to OFTEL and Trading Standards...
