If you have to ask what is more of a certain fashion statement then you are most definitely a poser. Just be you and not worry about what is in style.

Here's an answer for you. Just be yourself and don't try to show off or fit in a category. You don't have to dress like the type of music you like. I love punk, hip hop, old Emo (promise ring),Indi etc. I just get whatever I like and dont give F*** if it fits into a category. Music is about MUSIC, not hi top converse. Damn.

Both kinds are worn by emos... I don't believe one is "more emo" than the other. Not to mention I know several people who wear cons that are no where near emo.
