i said take no offense i think he is cool and plays the part perfectly and that they did great casting but it doesn't have to be some hunk just someone a little cuter i know all about how spiderman is just some oridinary guy but he wasn't meant to be unattractive

Actually....if you knew anything about spiderman at all you would know that Toby Maguire is the perfect fit as Peter Parker.
I'm glad the film makers took the character into consideration and didn't just cast some "super hunk" for little girls like you to drool over.

Toby McGuire is perfect 2 play Peter Parker/Spiderman...he has the look and the actin skills...u have 2 understand though he is meant 2 b young in the films...after all in the 1st 1 hes in high school
But Toby McGuire is perfect 4 the roll...devastated theyre thinkin of replacin him with Jake Gillenhalle (however u spell it) for spiderman 4...hope they dont

First of all... SPIDERMAN as we know him in a bit nerdy-nerdy type of guy... and Toby Maguire just so happens to look like THAT type of guy...
SPIDERMAN also has this image of the BOY NEXT DOOR kindly guy... and Toby Maguire... He really digs the look... the image and more.
Can you imagine James Marsden (VERY cute guy) to act as NERDY looking Spidermen? Don't think so...

I personally think Tobey Maguire is amazing as spiderman. I dont think I can see anyone else in the part who would be as good.

I thought he made a good spider man (a little young though) Especially since in the comic, Peter Parker was a 30-something science nerd.

Maybe he is not YOUR personal taste, but others may want a taste(not really me in particular) Don't hate! Different people like different things. Well, the second one is much better, and I think he is quite cute. i ahve the feeling he is quite short though, and I like my men tall. but the real question is, why does everyone think Kirsten Dunst is so hot when really she is just ordinary looking?

Absolutely with you on this one!!!!! He is makes pider man all sissy too, it put me off watching the other movies, he's a total let down. Nice to know someone else feels the same!!!
