I´m from Mexico and i´m american too. If you are talking about US residents, i´m a US resident too cos i'm from Mexican United States and if you think about northamericans i´m a northamerican too. So please call'em Gringos, is easy. don't you think so?
They think they are the best the most free people on world, but it isn't true, Why? Easy, they are afraid from terrorism, they are afraid from the credit card, they are afraid from serial killers, from the students who goes to school and kills another students.
Americans liberty is just a illusion, but they are very patriotic people...

Once I've been at your country and there are some Americans around me. I've found it always very impressive how proud of they being an American. Not in words but by the way they "wearing it". It is written on they forehead:). If you ask a member of MY nation (Hungarians - nothing common with Attila or being hungry...) about being Hungarian (Magyar as we say) you couldn't get a "healthy" answer. Just check mine :) - nothing of the confidence, pride of Americans...
And about patriotism: as I can see Americans love to be a holiday-maker, but would never resettle in other countries - just the barter is not worth it for them .

It appears to be a pretty chauvinistic society. I'm not going to say self-centered (I'm not sure how concerned about their own interests other countries are, since I haven't paid attention to much news lately). But every time someone on here says "America suxx!" the people from the US jump in and say "you're just jealous, this is the best place to live in the world."
No matter where you go, there's always some people that are full of themselves and ruin it for everybody else.

I firmly believe that all people, weather they are Citizens, emmigrants, are highly Patriotic when it comes to defending America. The American's are Patriotic and if anything happens here in America, we would all stand together and show how Loyal we really are.

The impression I get from this site is that a lot of republican correspondents live in the belief that all non-Americans lament the fact that they are not American. The more liberal Americans still appear patriotic.

i think they love their country more than many other citizens of the world but they also seem to hate the goverment more :)
i am from Malta, Europe where the situation is the other way rorund.
