everything.
the sound of the cleats hitting the pavement.
every last ounce of what they've got being put into the game.
the atmosphere.
the hits.
the tears... sadly.
the celebrations.
the big plays.
that is what i live for....
FOOTBALL!

The strategy. Creating matchups & mismatches, disguising plays, setting a team up in advance for a big play. Something like corners knowing QB tendencies & playing soft for a while, then jumping a route for a pick; or QB baiting the corner into jumping a route with a quick out, quick out, quick out, then out [pump fake] and up for a big gain or score. Trick plays, timely done, are the crowning achievement of good strategy: fake kicks, reverses, hook & lateral, fake spike, and flea flickers, to name a few. Best trick play is the WR hitch/screen that is actually a lateral and deliberately thrown "incomplete" such that it short-hops the receiver; when the defense lets up & stops because of the "incompletion", the WR then heaves the live ball to a wide open teammate way down the field.

Mine is also the whole thing. Anything can happen! literally, you walk away to get a soda and suddenly the texans are beating the colts by a field goal. (that is why you have your sodas in a cooler right next to the couch along with chips and cheesecake!) but like the giants game, walk away to do homework for 2 seconds and the game is all tied up at 20. Then the amazing strategies executed by the QB's(especially when they are cute!) but also seat cleanching action by recievers making amazing reaches and interceptions. Football is just a wild game.

the old NFL Films footage. they make it come alive. Deacon Jones throwing a poor running back on the field. Dwight Clark's "Catch", Franco Harris getting the "Immaculate Reception", "The Drive" led by John Elway, "The Fumble", "The Comeback", Vince Lombardi yelling at guys to give their best. the old guys were bleeding, cutting pinkies off just to play (Ronnie Lott). even with that, i love watching the NFL. the games go down to the wire. even though i love the OU Sooners in college, the games are normally one way. the NFL has many close games each week. you also get surprised when the playoffs roll around (the Chargers?) anyway, i've got tons more, but i don't wanna bore you. GO VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!

personally i like it because it is a mentally and physically challenging sport and it's got a lot of variety to it. nothing against other sports but look at basketball and baseball. basketball gets kinda redundent because they are going up and down a short court and the guys playing can almost reach the hoop as it is, and baseball is 10 minutes of heart pounding action of the period of 3 hours. football's great because the worst team in the league can beat the best on any given day, and theres a lot going on out there on the field. when you know what your watching it's very entertaining

Making the tackle in the backfield on a 3rd down stop and then making a little mini-celebration out of it (pump of the fist nothing too showy) and i guess just playing the game in general. Best sport in the world
