I'm 16 years old and have never had sex. I'm also not on birth control. My period's have always been every five weeks, but the last few times have been irregular. I had my period then 3 weeks later I got it again. The next time was 5 weeks later and now I have it again after about 3 weeks. This time I noticed it is also thicker. My nipples have also been very tender. What's going on??

It isn't uncommon for a young girl's cycle to a little out of whack, though, at 16, you probably feel far from young. Good job on keeping track of your period though. I never could at that age.

Things like stress, caffine and hormones can throw your peirod off and change the way it flows. I wouldn't worry about.

As far as tender nipples goes... well, I find that as mine grow and depending on where I am in my cycle, my breasts and nipples can be very tender.
