I'm not sure I am after "happy" because I lean toward "peace" as a goal word. But since that's the coin of the realm, I think people are as different as their dreams. When it comes to feeling secure and nurtured, it depends on your philosophy which feeling you seek out. I just want to "keep going". I don't want anything to stop me or make me give up on life and turn bitter. I want to be flexible and take the hits and get back up when I am able. I want to recover from any depression I catch and I want to try again and again. I don't want to lay down and know myself that I am a quitter because I been there, done that, almost killed me. I want to keep living just to hear God say "I knew you'd get here someday no matter what!!!" because I don't want to feel the final defeat------------ no matter what decade I am fighting my way through, no matter my age, no matter what my children blame on me, no matter my aches and pains, no matter if I lose my husband before I go, no matter what. When I lose I want to cry it all out for as long as it takes, and then GET BACK UP!! Life hits hard and doesn't play fair. I guess I want to OVERCOME. That would make me "happy".

It means you have to look for the silver lining, learn to be content with the small things in life and understand that although everything may seem to be going for the worst, there still exists things worth smiling about, worth living for, worth sharing with.
