It's been about six years since I've been to Cedar Point. I love all amusement parks/ roller coasters, but I prefer to visit parks that are a little closer to my Illinois home.
In 2001, The Discovery Channel produced an hour long documentary about Cedar Point called "World's Largest Amusement Park." That show is often rerun on the Discovery Channel around Memorial Day.
Also, you might check your local library for a book called "Cedar Point: The Queen of American Watering Places," by David & Diane Francis.
That book has a lot of fascinating information about the history of Cedar Point, but it is an older book (published in 1988) so many of the newer rides at CP aren't mentioned in the book (because they hadn't yet been built!)

Yes, I went there this summer.
There are quite a few roller coasters, I went on all of them except Dragster because I didn't want to die:)
The first roller coaster I waited in line for at least an hour, and it was SO HOT outside and I didn't drink any water and I almost passed out right before I was ready to get on the ride . It wasn't even worth it. Fun ride but nothing's ever worth a long wait.
There are 2 "Power Towers" there. Those were all right. Not scary though.
Um...The food there isn't bad. If I remember correctly there are snow cones and dippin dots there.
Not much shade, which is really BAD if you go there on a hot day.
It costed like $40 per person to get in.
I don't think/remember if there was any water rides. If there was, we didn't go on them.
That's about all I can remember.
Sadly I don't think I would go back there again. It would've been much funner just to go to a fast, fun water park instead because it was so hot out.

yea, i live near sandusky and yes it has a lot of rides, i believe cedar point is way over hyped! yes top thrill dragster is sweet but do u wanna wait 3 hrs and on windy days it wont ride! to ride a 30 sec ride, its cool to ride it once but after that its not worth the wait, the raptor is a classic but parks all over the country and that ride, i would say if u like upside down coasters c.p. is nott the park for you, not too many of their rides go upside down, plus u wait for hours for a ride on a normal day, plus their water park isnt even included in the admission which is lame, OH YEA their rides always break down and their maintence is slow to fix them

Yes, great views of the lake and islands from the roller coasters. Get there early because it gets crowded fast and hotels were scarce in the area when I went.

Yeah. If you like roller coasters and nothing but roller coasters, you will love it. If you want something else besides going up a hill and down a hill, go to Disneyworld.

I have, if you go you have to ride demon drop and put a quarter on your knee, it will hover right in front of your face on your way down, plus everything in your pockets will be on the ground when the ride is over, so empty your pockets first.
