I got my first job working in a nursing home. I worked in the kitchen and actually LOVED it. The elderly people were really nice and I got to spend quite a bit of time just visiting with them as I served their meals. It made me feel like I was actually making a contribution to society.

You can work on a farm. Save the forest. Are we talking about voluntary jobs? Or do you actually want to get paid?

Grocery stores, retail stores, telemarketing, just about anywhere that a college degree isn't required.
