If you want to buy a nano, try the apple.com website, the only good thing other mp3 players have against ipods is the fm tuner. Besides that, apple has a better interface, better sound, easier way to sync files, etc.

Definitely order the nano direct from Apple. It's better because if you order online (or by phone, I think, too) you can get 2 lines of free engraving. It really doesn't take very long to receive it once you purchase it, too. (My nano was bought for me at a store... no engraving! I bought my fiance his from the Apple site online, and I got his engraved.)
