What phone company. Question is VAGUE. Example, with Sprint Treo 650 and Treo 600, you can use the phone as a modem and get broadband speed. My Treo 600 was like only 10 kbps download. Then the Treo 700 and the PPC 6700 (which I ended up getting for a cool $200) I got like DSL speed of from 20 -100 kbps download, depending on the time of day. At night the speed really picks up. Then I cut the home phone and the home phone internet and it only cost approximately $3 more for the FASTER speed.

Depends on the company that you are on with. If you are with BT then they are generally pretty good, with Tiscali, you get cheap connection but the customer service is not the best when you get problems with it.
