That's perfectly fine, I do that all the time. It is just not good if you sell it to people.

No, NOT OK! Don't do it. It is legal if you have bought the DVD for yourself and you make a backup copy, but copying a rented movie is illegal!

Even though in todays society it has become the norm to steal music or movies it still doesn't mean its okay. I think there is a difference between renting a movie and copying it and owning a movie and making a backup copy for your own personal use.

You say it's OK. The law, and the copyright warning tell you it's not. It is illegal, it is theft.
And it's not about what anyone thinks - it's what the law says.
Will you get caught, sent to prison, fined - not likely - but it is not OK.

It doesn't matter if you make 1 copy or 100 copies. It is NOT OK. IT is illegal.
