I love Gilmore Girls my sister got me hooked on it. Being curious I'm wondering why other people like GG.

The dialogue is so witty and fast paced. You can watch it over and over and still get something new out of it.

I used to love the Gilmore Girls but that show jumped the shark at the end of last season when Lorelei jumped into bed with Christopher after having a fight with Luke.
I've tried watching the new season, but it's so over and sad now.

I love Gilmore Girls. I have been watching it since it first aired. I believe they are down to earth and I love the relationship that they have together. More of a friendship. I have the same relationship with my mom.

The mother daughter relationship is genius! They are both so quick witted, and funny. They have personality too, they aren't fake like soooo many other shows. Also, they have conflicts and they have to struggle to get by them, in other shows, there just isn't that much of a struggle. Also a big one KIRK!!!!! I mean, the guy sells everything and always at the perfect moment, like when Taylors car went in to Luke's (because of the traffic light camera) and Kirk opens Kirk's with Luke's menu and the sign too.

I love it because I have a similar relationship with my Mum. Girls either have that with their Mums, or they want that... I guess.. I love the gilmore girls, sometimes it gets a bit wordy - but I love that too. It's a great show. I just wish Australia was more up to date with it.

I too saw one episode and got hooked. I'm originally from Connecitcut, but have been out west for awhile, and the scenery brought back memories, not to mention the dialogue was very entertaining.
But like Joan V, I too am having a hard time watching the new season. It just seems that Lorelie (sp?) doesn't have a back bone and is afraid to say what she feels. When Chris asked her to marry him, she looked like she really didn't want to but she did anyway. She rarely steps up to her mother...It just discusts me. I hope it gets better.

Now, I'm a guy, so i don't revolve my life around this but I will watch it sometimes. What appeals to me is there is a hot mother AND a hot daughter. Plus, they have a really strange characters around them. And they are happy, I like that.
