maybe they have stronger middle fingers from all that offensive gesturing..
or they just don't think you'll misinterpret their actions and therefore its fine and dandy to keep their middle finger nice and toned for when someone gets on their nerves.

hey, I know the reason why those finger things are deemed offensive and it took loads effort to find out, so listen up, I'm telling you whether you wanna know or not!
A long long time ago, England had the best archers in the world, and we hated France(ok, this probably could apply in modern times too).
Well, we would occasionaly have a fight with the jolly French, and if the sods caught any of our elite archers, they would cut off their first two fingers from either hand, making it impossible for them to pull back the string on their bows, therefore rendering them a bit useless in future battles.
However, when our archers who still had their hands intact would see the French line up, they would hold up their first two fingers, sort of like a 'ha ha you haven't got me yet, and you see these fingers? Yeah, these fingers here? Well they are guna cause your death my friend, oh yes they are' yadda yadda yadda. And so it kinda took off from there.
There you go, now you know, and i bet you all knew that anyway, but I just recently found out and I was really pleased with myself so just pretend like you didn't know okay?

its obvious when someone uses the middle finger indirectly. If you use your middle finger to point something out on a piece of paper and someone has a problem with that then they have issues.

In all my years here on this planet and in various 'western' countries, the only time I've ever seen that 'middle finger gesture' has been on film / TV, with the obvious implication attached to it of some degree of aggressive 'vulgarity.'
I think your question is not really 'a question.' I do not believe your description of what you are meaning, and thus do not believe you.
