I think Roger would like to retire a Yankee so he can go to Cooperstown a NY Yankee, and he is good friends with Pettitte.

This is how i see things. It is now down to 3 teams (obviously) the Red Sox, Yankees, and Astros. I think that the Astros have the edge. Here is my reasoning. The Red Sox spurned Clemens back when he went off to the Blue Jays. I know he says he would like to return, but truth be told, he would only have been able to come back had Matsuzaka not signed. Boston would only have use for him as a closer, and he would not do that. Also, had Boston not won the World Series in '04, i think that would have increased his chances. He has NOTHING left to accomplish with the Yankees. He won his rings, and he has no reason to go back. The Astros now, seemed to have finally committed to bringing in players with Carlos Lee, and Mark Loretta to back up Berkman, and some good young players such as Luke Scott, and Adam Everett. Plus the family is there, and they do not seem to have a problem with the 1/2 a year pitching, and also no road trips. I say Clemens is Houston bound.

As a Yankee fan, I hope not. I think Clemens is the biggest phony in sports. First he "retired" from the Yankees, saying how much he always wanted to play for them, which was a bunch of crap. Then he "retired", but then signed with the Astros, which would seem to be understandable since they are his hometown team ,and his friend Pettitte signed with them. But now it seems that money, not family is what is driving him. If he signs with anyone but the Astros, then that proves that he is just out for one last, big payday, and that he is not the family man that he seems to think he is.

I'm a loyal Yankee fan, but he has to go in wearing a Boston hat, that's where he became "The Rocket", where he became great, and where he won more than half of his career games.

Clemens is milking this attention yet again like he was some God to baseball. At this point neither the Yankees nor Red Sox really need his services. They both have good rotations Let him stay put with the Astro's. He's not worth all that effort.

Lets's face it. Clemens will only go where he will get the most money. The Red Sox would to have him, the Astros as well, the Yanks got rid of the Unit to free up a rotation spot for Clemens. He goes to New York

On the news this morning, it said that Clemens is either going to resign with the Astros, Yankees or Red Sox.

You mean the drama king of all of baseball? The most self-centered player and selfish player who ever lived? The one who plays half a year and doesn't travel with the team? The one who bumbles through one interview after another keeping Roger alive in people's minds? The one who consistently contradicts himself in any interview? I don't think so!! The Yankees are trying to win, not add another loser to their roster.

Chow!!

Roger "The Diva" Clemens will toy with his 3 favorite teams as usual before deciding where or whether to play this season. Don't hold your breath.

Well he will not go to the Red Sox because he knows they already have an edge over the Yankees this year. Piling on would be disrespectful to his Yankee fans. If he plays at all it will be with the Yankees or Astros.

Yes because now that the Unit is gone, there is a spot in the Pitching rotation for him now. Also he will want to go not only to awinning team but also w/ pettitte

it seems like it now. the yanks are stupid enough to. Why would you pay a man for one year to pitch half the year and not even come on road trips when he doesnt pitch. When i heard Clemens had that in his contract, I lost ALOT of respect for him, what a puss.
