I found that the best way is to be as healthly as possible throughout the month the less toxins go in the less the nasty symptoms. I found eating lots of raw carrots and salads helped a lot. Also when you get cramps rest really helps, even if it's just lying down for 30 minutes.

Mild exercise will ease the pain as well as laying flat on your stomach with your arms above your head. Also, make sure you keep your feet warm at all times. Don't walk around on cold floors without socks or slippers on.

Believe it or not exercise and plenty of good old water is the best thing for you and when retiring for the night if you still feel discomfort use a hot water bottle to ease it

Heat, they have these sticky heat things you can apply and it helps to take the cramps away, or if you are at home a heating pad works well.

A heating pad will loosen the muscles, as will hot baths. You can also do a little exercise, running and walking loosen those muscles too.

Try a moisture and not a dry heating pad. It works better. Also, try to lay in the knee-chest, fetal, position. I don't know why it works it just does. Good Luck!!!

Excersize and avoid all cafeine and sweets. Id personally take 200-800 milligrams of Ibuprofin if they are really bad.

The cramping would be less when I would excercise....which also minimizes blood flow and makes for shorter periods
