any pet store is okay as long as they have the lepoard gecko

If there is a petco or petsmart in the area, both stores normaly always carry leopard geckos. Your best bet will be to wait for the white plains Reptile show. White plains isnt to far from there and you can find great prices on really cool looking geckos. Im not sure when it is but its a good reptile show and you will find tons of different morphs and prices for you.

Do they have a PetCo there? That's where my old roommate got hers.

Try looking in Mexico and New-Mexico.
