x-box 360 or playstation 3 ?

I'm considering buying one. i already own a ps2 ( not many fun games coming out anymore). any comments would be appreciated.

one thing....XBOX360!!!!!!!!
do not waste your money on ps3. its $600.00 and not even worth it. ive played both. the graphics on XBOX360 r much better than ps3 in my opinion. also, XBOX360 has gears of war!!!!! and in november 2007 halo 3 should come out. i suggest getting 360.

sony is overrated. and the prices of their products r ridiculous. get the XBOX360, u wont regret it.

xbox 360 all the way...the PlayStation 3 is considered over priced and understocked. the xbox 360 on the other hand already has a good game base and has even more good games coming out...many of which are shared with the PS3. the PS3 doesn't really have any good games so far and most future games will be on the 360 also. plus with the xbox 360 you save $200.

or as a possible even cheaper choice...pick up a wii if you can find one...they too are loads of fun.

Depends on how much patience you have.

If you have a lot of patience, say 2 or 3 months worth, then get the PS3 because there will be a lot of good games for the PS3 once late February or early March comes around. Then there will probably be a dry period during the summer, and then in Fall or early Winter, it picks up again.

If you have no patience, then get the 360 because there are already several good games out, and several more good games coming out within the next month or so. Then there probably will be a dry period during the summer. Then Halo 3 comes out probably in November. And I think Halo Wars is going to bring 2007 to an end.

Go for a X-Box 360. The reason why Im saying this straight up is because... you can get many more games, and many have online support.

Also, you may have noticed at your place (or area) that there are more 360's than PS3's. I know you wanna challenge everyone at a fair game of Gears of War on Splinter Cell: Double Agent (that game it tight online).

Im not saying that PS3 is bad... just not too many people have it right now and a vast majority will not have it until way late into this year.

You wanna keep you replay value on games high.. the more people, the better.

if you had to choose today i would go with the 360 which is cheaper and has so many awesome games out already that look really nice. if you are rolling the the dough to get a ps3 you can also pick up the nintendo wii with your 360. those two are all you need right now. the ps3 will have good games in the future but not yet. not now.

360 of course. Unless you have money to waste on stuff you probably don't need anyway, don't buy PS3. Both have amazing graphics, but why pay so much more when you can have just as many great games on a 360? The little frills on PS3 are not really a big deal unless you're a geek who insists on having every piece of new technology first.

From a practical standpoint, I'd get the XBox 360. As others have said, there are a lot of great games out for it right *now*. It's affordable, and their Live service is still the best (they say it's wroth paying for). The only thing I'd say is watch out for overheating, but the PS3 has this problem too.

Get a PS3 if you are interested in having an incredibly super fancy machine.

Right now you should go with the 360. More games, better online(but you have to pay for it), $200 cheaper, same graphics. The PS3 might have better graphics in the future, but not way better. But it all depends on which games you prefer.

Ps3 if you can get one. People complain about the price but a regular Blue Ray player is like 700 bucks so you mine as well get a ps3. X-box requires a additional thing to buy to watch hd movies which brings the price right up to ps3. Plus X-box sucks.
