It was a made for television movie. My mom made me watch it. It scared me for life! The movie was The Atlantic Child Murders. A true story. Every time I closed my eyes, I would see the bodies of these kids rolling down the hill. It was awful!

The Monster That Challenged the Earth, a late-'50's science-fiction thriller about atomically-mutated giant sea slugs. Saw it in the theater, black & white, huge, nasty, slimy, fanged creatures rearing up 15 feet high, I ran up the theater aisle three times to the lobby to get away from them---
Watched it again recently---still creepy and nasty. But at least I was ready for them.

I'm dating myself here: the original House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price. I saw that on TV one afternoon as a grade school kid in the early sixties, and many scenes scared me to death--especially the severed head hanging in the closet.

Pet Semetary - the scene where the dad has to kill his son, and the son changes from being a little monster into a crying baby always gives me the chills.

The 1977 ('79?) remake of King Kong. I was 10, it was rainy and windy, I was sick, and the Neighbors tree looked like a silouhette of a giant gorilla.
