trying to block access to a specific game servers's ip address to a teenager hooked on it and will not stop playing it and will do anything to get around any other methods i have tried. It has to be a ip address block not a web site name.

Yeah, you can block an IP address w/ a hosts file. Open up my computer and go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
There should be a file there called "hosts", right click on it and select open or 'open with'. From that window, select notepad. Once notpad opens there should be a bunch of notes denoted by '#' marks. After all that, there should be listings that look like this.

123.235.123.143 sitename.com

Just add the IP address you want to block, the sitename is not always necessary.

Of course, that's only going to work if you are the one hosting the server. If you are playing on a server that someone else is hosting, then it's not going to work, sorry.
