You shouldn't, the reason, we are still there. Iraq is in chaos and will be in worse chaos when we leave. Just the facts. Given those facts should we stay until we top the number of soldiers killed in Vietnam to finish what we started? We couldn't change Iraq with three hundred million troops unless we killed everyone in the middle-east.

we can listen in Sept from Gen Patraeus about how nicely the surge has labored and his options for next steps. the idea of an allied Republic of Iraq contained in the middle of the middle East is one we could continuously no longer supply up on too extremely, because this would help tip the balances of ability there that would bring about a freelance of the Arab-Israeli 50+ years of conflict, and be a deterrent adverse to Iran which has been unofficially at warfare with the u . s . for fairly a lot 30 years. international kinfolk and rationality seem now to not be ideal to the opposing events contained in the above disputes. and then there are Al Qaeda and their ilk. it really is plenty more effective useful to have interplay them from bases in and round Iraq, then from and contained in the u . s ..

Things most likely WON'T improve until the whole situation is overwith, and they won't improve by much. We aren't really trying to improve our situation, but Iraq's. We are protecting our country from another tragic day like September 11th from happening, and if we pull out now, Iraq will once again be a terrorist-filled society. The attack we received on the 11th was the first true terrorist strike that succeeded and really the first time American soil was attacked itself since WWII. We just have to hope things will be settled quicker.

You shouldn't expect the situation in Iraq to improve. It's obvious that a large percentage of the American public has been hoodwinked into believing that there has been no improvement in Iraq and that we've had nothing but failures every since we arrived. It wouldn't matter if Muslims in Iraq were dancing hand in hand with American forces and proclaiming love for Israelis. If you think 3000 military deaths in what...5 years is comparable to terrorists killing 3000 in one day then nothing will ever convince you that the war in Iraq is not a failure.

the situation in iraq will not improve one bit. the fight over iraq is a never ending war. if the usa wants to do anything about the war over they they need to envade iran and pakistan. but that would prolly start world war 3 and we would lose a lot more soldiers than we already have.

You know, that's what Bush should have talk about last night, and he didn't. That's the question on everyone's mind. The fact that you must ask that in this forum is proof of failed leadership, in my opinion.
The fact is, even though you don't support Bush, you probably want the Iraqi situation settled amiably, leaving Iraq much better off than before Saddam.
I would wager if Bush had given you one inkling of how that could be accomplished, you would have supported him.

Right now no one can deny that the situation would dissolve into chaos and almost unpreventable genocide if we pulled out. Even those who hate Iraq are simply arguing about how it should be fought, not about pulling out. Only those ignorant to history and how the conflicts end with an abrupt pull out would argue for such a thing. We are there, we aren't leaving, and the debate now rests on how to win. No one is arguing for a pull out, well, no one who has any power. Not even the newly elected Demos.

You are going to let people on Yahoo Answers tell you how to feel...look at it this way, can it really get any worse? If we pull out completely we could be hit with another terrorist attack, we all just have to ride the wave of this war and support our troops out there.

You shouldn't because it is not going to. Ya think we would learn from mistakes like Vietnam...but hey, war is good for certain types of big business, so yippee mr. pro-life and his cohorts can continue to be hypocrites sending healthy young men and women to die for no reason. kudos.
BTW PEOPLE, TERRORIST ATTACKS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WHY WE ARE IN IRAQ......REMEMBER? OR HAVE YOU REALLY BOUGHT INTO THE WHOLE "IRAQ WAS HARBORING TERRORISM THING"?
