I am looking for a desent place with satelite, a/c and close to everything. Free internet service would also be great, but that takes a back seat to the location and price. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sidestep.com is a website that searches mulitple airlines and discount sites for best fares. Hostelworld.com has listings for hostels and discount hotels all over the world. I have used both many times.

Try this one: http://www.athensguide.com/
This site offers a myriad of information regarding Athens and surround areas and other parts of Greece. I agree with the writer about the Adams Hotel which is in Plaka (the place you want to be!). As well, there are many smaller hotels in the Plaka area which are affordable in the offseason, all the way up until early Summer. You can get a single or double for under 50 Euro a night in most cases. I like the Hotel Plaka, the Arion, and the Hotel Phaedra. As far as free internet access, forget it. Not even in the most expensive hotels here (Grand Britagne, Metropolitan, Intercontinental, etc) offer a free internet with your stay, otherwise you can expect to pay by the hourt or by the day, and usually fairly expensive.
I am American and live here and work in the tourism industry and have the dish on many hotels, restaurants and services in the area. If you want more detailed info, please feel free to email.

P.S. Delta only offers the non-stop from Atlanta between April 01 and October 31. Otherwise, you can get here from just about any major US city on the eastern half of the USA and almost always a non-stop option from New York, Boston, Montreal and sometimes DC. It's usually easier than changing in Paris, London or Frankfurt and the customs lines and procedure flying directly into Athens from the USA is a breeze compared to other European airports I have experieced.

Good luck!

You didn't say where you were flying from. I am from Mississippi and have found a good flight using Delta...goes to Atlanta then a direct flight into Athens in the middle of their day.
As for hotels you can then do a search of Athens hotels and book one ..it will give you star ratings etc on there.
As for prices, flying to Greece is always cheaper before June 14th.....then they go up sometimes by 700 usd until after Sept dates....Most all their hotels will have a/c and tv in room...most offer internet service now also....but all that also will be listed on the site you search on. One hotel I know of is nera St Georges....will say St Georges Lycabitus (can't spell it) not sure on cost but its close to town, again though everyone walks there or there are plenty of taxis and bus service all time....Good Luck
